Sobotňajšie stretnutie 11. kola Premier League medzi Newcastlom United a Arsenalom Londýn rozhodol jediný gól, ktorý zaznamenal v 64. minúte domáci futbalista Anthony Gordon.
Zásah však musel niekoľko minút overovať VAR, keďže celej situácii predchádzali až štyri sporné momenty:
- lopta za čiarou pri rohovej zástavke, ruka Joelintona, faul na Gabriela a ofsajdové postavenie.
Hlavný rozhodca Stuart Attwel nakoniec gól uznal, čo sa samozrejme nepozdáva hosťujúcim fanúšikom. Po stretnutí zúril aj tréner kanonierov Mikel Arteta.
