Confirmed: sucker punch by Chara to Tavares. This should be looked at by @NHLPlayerSafety. https://t.co/3YxMdODQQM

Chara should be suspended for what he did to Tavares. Absolutely disgusting play by a dirty player. If Chara was officiated the way he should be and held to the same standard as the rest of the league, had have to be a healthy scratch every game. #LeafsForever

Am I crazy, or did Chara just sucker punch a defenceless Tavares, who was already in a headlock from another Bruin, with no consequences?

Suckerpunch on Tavares by Chara while Bergeron had Tavares tied up. Shameful Chara. Good on Bergeron to see if Tavares was alright though.

Can someone please explain to me how that joke of a hockey player Chara didn’t even get a penalty let alone thrown out for that sucker punch on Tavares? #Leafs #Bruins @NHL

No penalties. Refs didn’t see Chara punch Tavares in the face obviously. No cameras in the refs room 🙄. Moving on... #LeafsForever
